Located at Curry Village, the Tent Cabins provide a comfortable, inexpensive accommodation right in the shadow of the spectacular Glacier Point and Half Dome, inside Yosemite National Park. Each tent cabin can accommodate up to 5 people. A central shower house is available. Several restaurants are within walking distance, but you are also welcome to being your own food so long as it is stored in a bear-proof locker (provided free of charge at Yosemite). Breakfast is included and no YARTS tickets are needed.

All tours visit the Yosemite valley where Half Dome and El Capitan are located but Yosemite van tours usually will visit the Giant Sequoia Grove in addition to the valley.

Yosemite Three Day Tour - Day One

6:00 - 7:00 AM
Pick-ups start in Fisherman's Wharf Area and continue in downtown San Francisco.

7:00 - 7:20 AM
West Oakland Bart Station pickup (if necessary).

7:20 - 7:40 AM
Dublin/Pleasanton Bart Station pickup (if necessary).

7:40 - 9:00 AM
Continuing east, see the windmills and descend into the San Joaquin valley and stop for a break and a snack.

9:15 - 11:00 AM
Begin the climb into the foothills, through gold country, and up into the Sierra Nevada range and Yosemite National Park.

11:00 - 1:00 PM
On your Yosemite tour, enjoy the amazing views of the valley, El Capitan, Half Dome, and the Yosemite Falls. Enjoy a hike to one of the park's waterfalls or lakes, or relax at the visitor's center where there are museums, restaurants and the Ansel Adams Gallery.

1:00 - 5:00 PM

Get dropped off at Yosemite Lodge, the Park's transportation hub, and your independence begins. Jump on the FREE Hybrid Shuttle and ride to Curry Village, check in, and drop off your bags. Ask the staff for some ideas, or browse the stores for some books or maps, and start hiking!

Evening

You can stay out later, because you don't have to commute. Stores and restaurants are open "late", but check times to make sure. Get a good night's sleep so you can get up early for another exciting day in Yosemite.

Morning

Get up early! Sunrise in Yosemite! You're THERE! Then shower down, get some breakfast, and.

Afternoon

You decide! Get some maps, talk to the rangers or the staff at the Village and the Lodge and get some ideas.

IN WINTER
Be prepared to walk on ice and snow - bring warm clothes, waterproof hiking boots, and mittens! Hike the valley, climb to the Top of Yosemite Falls, or take the Mist Trail beside the roaring Merced River. (Be careful, and ask Park staff about trail conditions.)

Evening

7:00 - 8:00 AM

Get up early! Sunrise in Yosemite! You're THERE! Again! You can sleep tomorrow. Then grab some breakfast, shower down, pack up, and.

8:30 - 1:00 PM

Check out, grab your bags and take the shuttle to Yosemite Lodge. Ride the shuttle, explore the village and grab a lunch.

1:30 - 4:00 PM

Meet your new friends and new driver. Explore more of Yosemite with the group. This includes driving time to take an optional hike in the forest and see the Giant Sequoias. (May be omitted due to snow levels and trail conditions from October to April - we'll spend more time in the Valley instead.)

4:00 - 6:00 PM

Start the return trip, descending from the Sierras, with more great scenery as we follow the sun to the west.

6:00 - 6:30 PM
Stop for a break and a bite to eat.

6:30 - 8:30 PM
Continue back to San Francisco, enjoying views of the sunset over the East Bay hills, or the Peninsula and the city lights.

8:30 - 9:00 PM
