Yosemite Park attracts more than four million people a year from every country because it is one of the most beautiful parks in the United States and amongst the best natural parks in the world.

Basic Yosemite Park Information

There is an endless variety of things to do and places to go all year round. Visitors can go rock climbing, walk the trails, or ski. Some simply choose to camp to drink in the natural beauty and a deep sense of peace. Whether sitting by the river, roasting marshmallows by a campfire, or sketching one of the tallest trees in the world, there are plenty of reasons to visit. Yosemite was preserved during the years of the Lincoln administration and it remains an unspoiled region of the United States and the North American continent. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Getting to Yosemite

The Yosemite National Park offers travel recommendations. Despite its remote location within California, Yosemite is easy to access. All the public roads that lead to the park are well maintained. They are also open all year round except for Tioga Road. Public transportation is also available for those who want to visit Yosemite National Park through Amtrak, an intercity passenger train service, Greyhound, an intercity bus service to Merced and then take YARTS, the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System, which is a public transit bus service to the national park.

Getting Around The Park

The Yosemite Valley Visitor Center is the best place to go for information guidebooks and maps. In addition, rangers can offer suggestions on what to do in the park and how to get around it. It is open daily, with the hours depending upon the season. The park is at number 6 and number 9 shuttle bus stops. Moreover, apart from using The Yosemite Valley Visitor Center for orientation, visitors can get transportation around the valley floor by using the free Yosemite Valley shuttle line.

The snow has almost melted, the waterfalls have high flows, the trees are blooming, the valleys are green again, and wildflowers are springing up everywhere.
