Hiking in Yosemite

Go hiking in Yosemite Falls, Tuolumne Meadows, Wawona, Glacier Point, Hetch Hetchy Reservoir or Tioga Pass. Although guided Hiking Tours in Yosemite are not permitted in general and most companies do not offer guided hikes, there are some exceptions. We will drop you off near the trail head of some of the most popular hikes and you can begin your journey from there.

Backpacking in Yosemite

Backpacking at Yosemite offers more than 800 miles of backpacking trails to enjoy. Most of the popular hiking trails are located in Yosemite Valley, whilst passing waterfalls on your path. The trails vary from length to difficulty depending on how much experience you have and have trails for everyone.

Camping in Yosemite

Camping Yosemite can be a great way to explore the park. During the winter months, camping Yosemite is only possible for those with a four-season tent since snow is common throughout the park.

Cycling in Yosemite

Yosemite hosts 12 miles of bike tracks throughout the park. Rent a bike at either Yosemite Lodge (year-round, weather permitting) or Curry Village (summer only) or take your own with you!

River rafting at Yosemite National Park on the Merced River provides exhilarating views of Yosemite Valley. Many groups tend to include a river rafting trip at Yosemite National Park along with their over night visit to the park.

Swimming in Yosemite

Swimming at Yosemite is available at the Curry Village and Yosemite Lodge swimming pools. Other than all the outdoor pools available to the public during summer at Curry Village and Yosemite Lodge, swimming is permitted in all water areas in the park except Hetch Hetchy Reservoir and waterfalls.

Rock Climbing in Yosemite

Yosemite is one of the world’s greatest climbing areas. Conquer Yosemite’s cliffs, or take lessons on rock climbing. Yosemite National Park has to offer some of the world’s best and most challenging rock climbing surfaces. Employees at the Yosemite Mountaineering School and Guide Service instructors are recognized among the most skilled, big-wall climbers in the world.

Fishing in Yosemite

Yosemite is famous for its variety of trout in its rivers, spend the day trout fishing or fly fishing. Fishing at Yosemite has been a tradition for 100’s of years and Yosemite is well known for its trout and fly fishing. Brown trout, Brook trout, and native Rainbow Trout can be found in the streams and lakes of Yosemite National Park.
