River Fishing in Yosemite National Park
Fishing at Yosemite National Park has been a tradition for 100’s of years and Yosemite is well known for its trout and fly fishing. Brown trout, Brook trout, and native Rainbow Trout can be found in the streams and lakes of Yosemite National Park. For the more experienced angler, go on an adventure and explore all the different lakes, rivers and streams the park has to offer. Go fishing on the Merced River, Tuolomne River, and Tenaya Lake.
Yosemite National Park also has Fishing Tours available, the Yosemite Concession Services Corporation run the tour called “How to Catch a Fish at Yosemite”. It lasts 90 minutes, and to join this you must meet in front of the Village Sports Shop.
The season for fishing at Yosemite runs from April through November. Permits are required to fish at Yosemite, you can purchase these licenses, permits and other supplies at Yosemite Valley.
